Chinese Text to Speech for Kids — Word-by-Word Read-Aloud
Paste a text and it reads itself, character by character — not an audio file to download, but a glowing page your child can read along with.
Tap any character to hear it on its own · The voice comes from your device (system speech synthesis) — timing may differ slightly from the highlight
Paste or type Chinese text here…
Generic TTS hands you an audio file. This gives your child a page that glows: the character being read grows and changes color, and the reader moves to the next line on its own — like karaoke, not homework.
Create a book where every character lights up and reads itself — the Library is free, and you get 3 self-made books a month free.

How do I add pinyin to Chinese text?
Paste the Chinese into the box above — pinyin appears above every character automatically. Tap “Copy with pinyin” to get the text as 汉字(pīnyīn)pairs.
Can I convert a whole story and hear it read aloud?
Yes. Paste it and tap Read aloud — the reader goes line by line and highlights the character being spoken. To save it as your child's own read-along book, use “Create a read-along book free” at the bottom.
Does it work for simplified and traditional characters?
Simplified Chinese is fully supported today. Traditional text is mostly annotated correctly but not yet proofread against a traditional-character lexicon — full support is coming.
Is it free for teachers and parents?
Free, no sign-up, unlimited. You only need a parent account to save books to your child's shelf and sync them across devices (3 self-made books free each month).
